KRISP, the company best known for the application to cancel the noise, starts New AI tool This is to transform the speaker’s accent into American English in real time. The tool is delivered in the existing KRISP computer application and acts as a virtual microphone to modify the sound of someone’s voice in video conference applications such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Webex.
KRISP claims that the conversion of AI Accent may convert someone’s accent with a delay of 200 million, which he calls “an imperceptible delay in conversations” while maintaining their natural voice. In the demo made available by the company, the tool seems to do a decent job so that someone sounds American, but the speech sounded a bit robotic.
The tool currently supports over 17 Indian dialects, but KRISP claims that it plans to add other English accents in the future, such as the Filipino.
KRISP first implemented the tool to the Call Center agency Before a broader release. “As someone with an accent, I often noticed that people try to understand me, even when my English is fluent,” says Arto Minasyan, co-founder and president of KRISP in the press release. “It’s not about prejudice-it’s just a reality of communication. During quick meetings, even small misunderstandings can slow down decisions, cause repetition and reduce overall performance.”
AI Accent conversion is started in beta, and free users can apply it up to 60 minutes a day. There is also USD 15 / month for unlimited apply.
