Current data pipeline platform provider Matillion announced today at the Snowflake Data Cloud Summit 2024 that it will make no-code generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) available to Snowflake users through recent GenAI capabilities and integration with Snowflake Artificial IntelligenceSnowflake ML features and support for Snowpark container services.
Matillion’s graphical components enable GenAI to be easily and almost instantly incorporated into your data workflows, regardless of technical knowledge. To do this, Matillion abstracts SQL functions running on a fully managed Cortex AI infrastructure for LLM.
Newly introduced GenAI components enable advanced, out-of-the-box operate cases, including generating product descriptions, extracting key information from customer reviews, analyzing sentiment, summarizing long-form reports, and translating content for a global audience.
Matillion also announced support for Snowpark Container Services components, which allow users to run any open source LLM used for a data processing task directly in their Snowflake accounts, ensuring that no records leave Snowflake and that all datasets have the highest levels of security and governance .
